Glowforge owners continue to get access to exclusive hardware integrations like trace with camera, . And subscribers with every laser get access to AI Magic Canvas, the design tools and Catalog you already know and love. Designs created in Glowforge Premium can be opened in any laser software. This bigger community means more Catalog designs, more shared projects, and more ways we can make the tools better for everyone.

Design View
Premium subscribers can now switch to a new Design View - a clean canvas for editing your designs. It's great for when you want to focus purely on layout and design work. You can choose your canvas size from the Machine drop down menu in the app.

Smartfit: Pack into a selected area
Smartfit just got more precise for Premium subscribers. You can now select a specific area on your workspace and pack your shapes into it, rather than auto-fitting to the entire canvas. This makes it easier to nest pieces exactly where you want them, especially handy when you're working with scraps or using up a specific section of material.

Export: New file formats
As part of opening Premium to all laser owners, we've added Lightburn and xTool Creative Space export formats alongside SVG for Premium subscribers. Many laser owners already rely on these tools to drive their machines, and now they can create designs in Glowforge Premium and seamlessly bring them into the software they're already using to print.

Box Builder

We’re rolling out a new tool in the Glowforge app: Box Builder. Quickly create perfectly fitted, finger‑jointed boxes by telling the app what you’re making and choosing your material. Box Builder handles kerf and layout, generating a cut‑ready design you can insert into your workspace.

Subtract, Divide, and Intersect Vectors

We are rolling out an update to a Premium tool in the Glowforge app: With Combine, now subtract, divide, or intersect multiple shapes in addition to joining them.

This feature can be used when you have two or more vector shapes selected.

To give it a try, simply select multiple vectors in your workspace and select the Combine icon (⚭) in the right menu bar to see subtract, divide, and intersect options.
