Glowforge® Referral Program Terms

Program Description. When you purchase or use a Glowforge 3D Laser Printer from Glowforge, you may qualify to participate in the Glowforge Referral Program. Under the Program, you may receive a Referral Reward after a person or entity navigates to your Referral Link, places a qualifying order via the Glowforge site (without first navigating to another site, applying another discount, or using a different Referral Link), takes delivery, and keeps the printer beyond any eligible return date or any final money-back guarantee date.

Definitions

Referrer: A Referrer is someone who has a Referral Link issued by Glowforge and meets the criteria to participate in the Program as set forth in these Terms.

Connection: A connection is someone with whom you have a genuine relationship. This includes people who have opted in to receive email or messages from you, for example by signing up for a mailing list that you operate, or who follow you on a social media account.

Connected Customer: A Connected Customer is a person or entity with whom the Referrer has a Connection and who uses a Referrer’s Referral Link on the Glowforge site when making a qualifying purchase, enabling the Referrer to become eligible to potentially receive a Referral Reward.

Program: The Glowforge Referral Program as described in these Terms.

Referral Link: A Referral Link is an https link that is unique to each person participating as a Referrer in the Program that is used to identify which Connected Customers they have referred.

Referral Reward: A benefit offered by Glowforge to the Referrer upon Connected Customer’s use of the Referral Link at the time the Referral Link is used.

Terms: These Glowforge Referral Program Terms.

Terms of Participation

1. Referrer Criteria: Referrers must be a current Glowforge owner or user with their own Glowforge account. Referrers who receive a Referral Link from a cancelled or returned Glowforge order may not participate in the Program.

2. Referral Link: Referrers receive a personal Referral Link from Glowforge and may give their own Referral Link to Connections. Use of the Referral Link acknowledges that Glowforge will use Referrer’s email address and other personal information, combined with information from 3rd party sources such as FullContact, to display Referrer’s name and photograph.

3. General Restrictions: Referrers may only give their Referral Link to Connections. Referrers may not solicit anyone who is not a Connection, and Referrers may not repeatedly solicit or “spam” anyone, including sending an unsolicited message or private message addressed to someone with whom they do not have a genuine relationship... Referrers may not resell or trade Glowforge credits received as a Referral Reward or otherwise use Glowforge credits for any purpose other than making a purchase from Glowforge for their own use, gifting credits to other Glowforge users, or converting credits to cash in accordance with the current Offers.

4. Posting Referral Link: Referrers may post their Referral Link on their own social media pages or their own owned web presence (other than a web site, landing page, social media page, or similar with the primary purpose of distributing their Referral Link), but may not post it on or in connection with other people’s or organization’s web sites, social media pages, channels or postings without their explicit permission. Referrers’ actions must also be in full compliance with any third-party terms, including those of any social media platform...

5. Search Results: The Referral Link is only to share with Connections. If Referrers post their Referral Link or information promoting their Referral Link where it may be searched by the general public... This list is subject to change at any time and the updated list will always be listed at https://glowforge.com/m/referral-terms.

6. Referral Reward

a. Connected Customer Requirements: For a Referrer to receive a Referral Reward, a Connected Customer must:

  1. navigate to the Referrer’s Referral Link;
  2. without navigating away or utilizing a different discount, place a qualifying order directly from Glowforge while the website indicates that the Referrer’s Referral Link is being used;
  3. make actual and full payment;
  4. not cancel the order; and
  5. take delivery and keep the printer beyond any eligible return date or any final money-back guarantee date.

If a Connected Customer cancels or otherwise fails to meet all these requirements, the Referrer will not receive a Referral Reward...

b. Restrictions:

  1. Referrers may only receive one Referral Reward for each Connected Customer.
  2. Individuals or companies that are already customers of Glowforge do not qualify as Connected Customers under the Program. Existing Glowforge customers may use their own Referral Link to purchase a Glowforge Printer, but Referrers will not be eligible to receive the Referral Reward on the purchase...

c. Offers: Referrers are eligible to earn Referral Rewards as provided in the Offers section below (Section 9) based on the date when the Connected Customer’s purchase was made.

d. Notification: Referrers are notified by email when a Connected Customer uses the Referrer’s Referral Link at the time of purchase. Email notification will also be sent notifying Referrers when the Referral Reward is to be issued...

e. Reward Payments: Referral Reward payments will be issued approximately 45 days after a Connected Customer's purchase ships...

5. Program Modification and Termination. Glowforge reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend or terminate all or part of this Program...

6.Breach of Terms. If at any time Glowforge suspects or determines...

7.Taxes. Glowforge may be required by law to report payments to Referrers or Connected Customers to state, federal...

8.Limitation of Liabilities and Disclaimer of Warranties. While Glowforge will use its best efforts to maintain the accuracy and reliability of its website and the Program, it does not warrant or represent that the website or Program will always function or be error-free...

This offer is void where prohibited by law. Employees of Glowforge, its affiliates, investors, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this Program.

9. Current Offer

Valid as of November 2, 2023.

For a Glowforge Aura printer: For each successful referral that meets the requirements for a Referral Reward as provided for herein, Referrer will receive $60.00 in Glowforge credits, which can be exchanged for $60.00 worth of Glowforge products and services (as specified by Glowforge) or $50 in cash (payable by check or electronic payment).

For a Glowforge Plus printer: For each successful referral that meets the requirements for a Referral Reward as provided for herein, Referrer will receive $300.00 in Glowforge credits, which can be exchanged for $300.00 worth of certain Glowforge products and services (as specified by Glowforge) or $250 in cash (payable by check or electronic payment).

For a Glowforge Pro printer: For each successful referral that meets the requirements for a Referral Reward as provided for herein, Referrer will receive $600.00 in Glowforge credits, which can be exchanged for $600.00 worth of certain Glowforge products and services (as specified by Glowforge) or $500 in cash (payable by check or electronic payment).

Maximum Referral Reward: Maximum Referral Reward during this time without prior Glowforge approval is $3,000.00 in credit...
